"Counterpoint" 2020 (image shown) was shortlisted for the 2021 Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize (Sydney). Another water themed drawing, Tsunami #3, is on exhibition as a finalist in the 2021 Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize (Noosa).
The Message was shortlisted for the 2020 Mandorla Religious Art Prize in Perth, and was exhibited in March 2021 at Stala Contemporary in Perth, WA. This painting was awarded a Highly Commended $5000 prize and toured to New Norcia and other locations.
Two 3D resin paintings, Filamentous (shown above) and Network, were shown in the art-science exhibition entitled "Fungi" at the Royal Botanic Garden in April 2021. Both sold and another was commissioned. The works were mentioned in detail in The Science Show with Robyn Williams on ABC Radio National (May).

My most recent solo exhibition (24 works including 2D and 3D paintings, and lightboxes) was held from mid-Nov 2019 to mid-Jan 2020 at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery in Port Macquarie. Many thanks to the lovely curator Bridget Purtill and her assistant Michelle Campano and team for organising the event.
MP Warming in Berlin curated an awesome exhibition on the impacts of global warming at Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice during the 2019 Biennale. I was invited to contribute 5 works and spent 11 days in Venice. The show was well received and got a lot of publicity including ABC News (link here).
Two paintings, Forest (2017) and Nestling (2017) were used as the front and back covers of the debut vinyl album of US electronic group Treesspeak. The record was made in Italy by Cinedelic and released as a limited edition. Sold out.
In 2017 I completed a drawing called "Field of Dreams" 60x85cm. The work was released as a signed and limited edition (50) fine art print at Ultragrafik Fine Art (go to www.ultragrafik.com for details).
20 April 2017. I displayed several lightboxes at the night time art event, Artwalk, at Port Macquarie.
I opened a new commercial art studio and gallery space at 4/25-27 Hay Street, Colonial Arcade in Port Macquarie. I relocated my home and studio from Sydney to this coastal town late in 2016.

15-24 July 2016. "Heart and Soul" 2016 (ink and acrylic on canvas) was shortlisted for the Mandorla Prize and exhibited at Linton & Kay Galleries in Perth. It then was displayed at various hospitals and at St. Mary's Cathedral in Perth and later acquired for the New Norcia Religious Art Collection, Western Australia.
"Tree of Life" 2015 was selected for exhibition in this group show at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery in Port Macquarie (13 May - 3 July).
I was selected for the
BEAMS light art festival on Saturday 19th
September, in Chippendale, an inner city suburb of Sydney, Australia. Go to

three art works entitled Celestial were created by forging thousands
of pinholes in painted paper then backlit by special lightboxes.
Paintings on display at the GKJE Gallery 1 at the Mercure Sydney, Potts
Point (next to Kings Cross Station). The show was open from 1st to 29th June 2015.
One of a series of highly detailed works on paper, entitled "Convergence", was a finalist (second year running) in the 2015 New World art prize and on exhibition at the NG Gallery in Chippendale, Sydney from 9th April to 2nd May 2015.

Religious art prize in Port Macquarie and was on display at the historic
courthouse from 1st-8th April 2015

Tempest" was shortlisted for the Korea-Australia Arts Foundation (KAAF)

Oxford University Press (New York) asked to include my painting Introspection
(2006) in a textbook Introduction to Psychology, published in 2013. The picture illustrated a section on the
history and psychology of introspection.
The drawing
"Shipwrecked" was short-listed for the national Adelaide Perry Prize based in Sydney. The judge was renowned art critic John McDonald. The exhibition was on show 24th Feb to
24th March.

"After hours" was part of the group
show “Together in Harmony for 50 Years,” with art works by 106 Australian
artists. To celebrate 50 years of friendship between Australia and Korea,
the Australian Embassy in Seoul and the Korea Women’s Art Society in Sydney
(Kwass) organized this art exhibit at the Noori and Arum
Gallery, Korea Foundation Culture Centre. The painting "Vertigo" was
one of 30 works in the sequel exhibition at Bom Gallery in Chongdamdong, Seoul's most prominent art precinct. The Bom show
opened on the 3rd May 2011.
The large pencil
drawing of "Insomnia" (2011) was shortlisted for a major national art prize,
The Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize held in Sydney Feb-March. It is usually very hard to get into.
This was a retrospective show
of works spanning the previous decade. The show featured my paintings
prominently in
the main gallery of the museum and was
complemented by ceramic art sculpture from local artists. Thanks to
curators Serena Manwaring, Jessica Allen and museum staff for
helping to make this show a success!
My first major commercial show with film director Alex Proyas, at his Gallery 25-27 Brisbane St., Surry Hills in Sydney. This was my third solo exhibition and included a range of new surrealistic works.

In 2005 I exhibited a range of surreal art based on old movies and TV shows of the 1950s and 60s.
